After reading about the Mazda Demio Mazda2 Small Won ders, June 2010 , I thought, finally, a sporty non-hybrid subcompact that can deliver near Toyota Prius fuel economy. But the Mazda2 website states only the 1.5-liter engine will be available here, and its target fuel economy numbers are 28 35 mpg. The only wonder here is how a car with the potential to get 54 mpg in Japan is only targeted to get 35 mpg in the States. A gasoline-fueled Chevy Equinox will get 22 32 mpg yet Mazda is asking us...
